Nut Eye bolts are the main bolt used in ropes challenge course and zip line construction. Cables are terminated to the eye bolt around a thimble to prevent cable deformaion at the turnback. Eye bolts should always be backed up by wrapping a separate piece of cable around whatever the bolt is going through. Eye bolts have been known to have manufacturing defects that cannot be detected by visual inspection.
