Zipline Cable Ferrule - Zinc Plated
Made of zinc plated copper. Swaged connections are the highest strength termination on wire rope/cable on a zip line. A swage tool is required. Ferrules must be properly crimped to achieve holding strength. Properly swaged ferrules can hold 90% of cable strength. Two ferrules are required for life support and ziplining applications (ACCT Standards). The extra ferrule serves as a backup in case of primary ferrule failure due to defects or improper swaging. A 12 ton crimper/compression tool is required for 1/4" - 1/2" ferrules.
