Originally designed for single rope descents in caving, the Stop has become a standard tool for the rope access worker. The Stop is designed to automatically "stop" the descent when the red handle is not depressed. To descend, push the handle to release the brake and control the descent with your brake hand. A safety catch allows the rope to be rigged without disconnecting the Stop from your harness.
- Self-braking function allows you to easily stop and hold your position on rope
- Device can be rapidly installed or removed from the rope without disconnecting it from the harness
- May also be used to ascend short distances with the addition of an ascender and foot loop
