Zip Line Kit Instructions



 Cable Clamp spacing should be 6 x the cable width. So 6 x .25 for ¼ cable, 6 x .38 for 3/8 cable.

 ¼ Cable minimum spacing is 1 ½ inches from center to center of the cable clamps.

 3/8 Cable minimum spacing is 2 7/25 inches from center to center of the cable clamps.

Failure to read, understand, and follow these instructions may cause death or serious injury.

Read and understand these insturction before using clips.

Match the same size clip to the same size wire cable.

Prepare wire cable end termination only as instructed.

Do no use with plactic coated wire cable.

Apply first load to test the assembly. This load should be of equal or greater weight than loads expected in use. Next, check and retighten nuts to recommended torgue. See Crosby Clips Warning and Application Instructions for recommended toruge.

The Tail on the cable should be a minimum of 3in for 1/4 cable and a minimum of 4in for 3/8 cable (more is ok).

About Brake Blocks

A brake block is a constructed system to prevent the rider from a catastrophic impact with and unforgiving tree or pole. You should always install the brake block towards the end of your zip line so the trolley will hit the block to slow the rider down. 1/2" bungee is generally recommended. Two separate shock card attachments is the minimum. The bungee should not be to tight, it should allow the trolley to travel several feet before the bungee tensions.

Bungee Safety

Remember active brakes need constant inspection and maintenance to function safely. Bungee does NOT tolerate the sun, rain, humidity or anything outside very well. Bungee must be replaced once or twice a year minimum, maybe more if used frequently. When in doubt, REPLACE IT!

When installing your brake block there are a few things to remember. Make sure your bungee is never vertical with the rider.  Bungee should be at a 90°, horizontal or even above your zip line at 90°. We recommended a double bungee system like the one we offer compared to a single bungee system. With a single bungee brake system when your trolley hits the brake block the cable will pull towards your bungee anchor point causing the rider to leave the safety corridor and potentially hit objects outside the safety corridor. Also if that bungee breaks you have no back-up to stop you and you will not have a good time. A double bungee system like the one we sell, will give you the peace of mind knowing you have a back-up on your braking system. With a single piece of bungee tie a knot were the bungee and the quicklink meet.  Also this will not pull your cable to the left or right making sure when you make contact with the brake block you stay in the safety corridor. Remember that your bungee cord will stretch 175% of its original length. At full stretch always make sure you are a minimum of 10ft from the end of the zip-line to avoid injury.

With a single piece of bungee tie a double knot where the bungee and the quick link meet, pull tight.



The termination end should be secured to some kind of eye bolt or some other secure fixture. The knot we recommend would be a follow through overhand knot. Step by step instructions FOUND HERE.
